Kenneth Kaunda International Airport is an international airport in Lusaka, Zambia, and was the hub of Zambian Airways. It was officially known as Lusaka International Airport before being renamed in 2011 in honour of Kenneth Kaunda, the nation's first president. The airport has a capacity of two million passengers per year.〔 The airport has a number of amenities and resources including a restaurant, bar, convenience store, domestic and international ATMs, and mobile telecom storefronts (to purchase local cell phones or SIM cards and credit for international phones). ==Location== The airport is located off the ''Great East Road'', approximately northeast of the central business district of Lusaka, the capital and largest city of Zambia.
